The Caritas Enga team, led by Program Coordinator Joel Peter, along with Raymond Taru, James Busan, Pastor John Mary, and Casimir Job, provided engaging lessons on SARV and GBV. A special guest, Solicitor in Charge of Public Solicitor's Office Wabag, Luke Teko, spoke about the laws that the government has made to protect people from SARV and GBV.

The training was aimed at equipping community leaders with skills to work in their communities to help people understand different social issues and peaceful means of addressing them to make all communities a safe place for everyone, including vulnerable members.

The training was important because of a tragic case that had happened a month prior. The Caritas Enga team's swift response resulted in her rescue.

The training was attended by 115 participants of three council wards who were mostly magistrates and community leaders. They were empowered to carry out further awareness in their own communities to address all forms of social issues to create peaceful communities.
