42 receive Sacrament of Holy Communion in St Michael Parish, Lorengau

Lorengau: St Michael Parish, Lorengu had 42 students and young people receive the Sacrament of the Holy Communion on Thursday April 17, 2025.

Parish priest Fr Bernard Sapataleh in his homily encouraged those receiving the Sacrament of the Holy Communion to reflect on their lives and have a change of heart, mindset and behaviour in order to follow Christ.
"During this Easter Triduum, we must walk with Jesus in his time of agony and become his followers. And it is our duty as Christians to always carry our crosses and walk with Jesus everyday"
Sentiments of joy was shared by those who received Holy Communion for the first time.
The students and young people who received Holy Communion came from the different agency schools within Lorengau. They include: Ecom Secondary School (Evangelical church agency), Manus Secondary (Government agency), Paranga Primary (SDA agency) Children Academy Centre (Evangelical church agency) Pombrut & East Lorengau Primary (Government agency) and other young people in their teens.
