The Catholic Church Receives K1 Million Funding Through Church Partnership Program

The Catholic Church is pleased to announce that the Government, through the Department for Community Development and Religion, has provided funding of K1 million to the Church under the Church Partnership Program. This initiative also includes support for other mainline churches and church groups across the country.

The General Secretary of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands, Fr. Lawrence Arockiaraj, received the cheque on behalf of the Catholic Church in Papua New Guinea.

Fr. Lawrence Arockiaraj, the General Secretary of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands, received the cheque on behalf of the Catholic Church in Papua New Guinea. The Cheque was presented by Mr Jerry Ubase, Secretary of the Department for Community Development and Religion.


The cheque presentation ceremony took place at Kwalimu Haus, Port Moresby, today on Wednesday, 29th of October 2025.
