SVD Lay partners attend refresher workshop

Wabag: Papua New Guinea SVD lay partners in one of the SVD strong mission province of the Highlands region of PNG,Wabag, Enga Province went through a refresher course on spiritual enrichment with Fr Herman  Kunow SVD, the SVD Vocation Director of PNG from May 28 - 30, 2025 at the Holy Spirit Senta.

The Par SVD Lay Partners have gone through lots of ups and downs in the past years and learning from the past, the refresher course will help them to realign their purpose. 

The association was established in 2019 by Fr Vincent Wasaring SVD, however, in early 2024, it became inactive until the initiative to revive the group was taken by the new Par Parish priest Fr Pierrot Nambininarivo SVD when he invited Fr Herman to come and give a refresher course to the members.

Fr Herman enriched the Lay Partners through the sessions of rediscovering and reconnecting their Faith in God, the power of  prayer and the spirit of reconciliation in the love for each other to create peace. It really helped them in mending their hearts. 

The program concluded with a Commissioning Mass with sentiments of joy and contentment shared by all who participated.
