New MoJo Kits Enhance Catholic Media Outreach.

Downtown, Port Moresby: A very happy day for the Church Media today as they have been presented with three sets of Mobile Journalism (MoJo) Kits by ABC International Development (ABCID) under their Media Development Initiative program.


This morning saw the Secretary for Social Communications Commission (SOCOM) of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands (CBCPNGSI), Sr Daisy Anne Lisania Augustine, MSC receiving the MoJo Kits presented for ‘Radio Maria’ in Vanimo, ‘Catholic FM’ in Lae and ‘The Voice of Peter ToRot’ in Kokopo.

Today’s event marks the presentation of the fourth round of MoJo kits through Australia’s long term media partnership through the Media Development Initiative.


Representing the Australian High Commission, Ms. Tomoko Koganezawa from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade said that it was a pleasure to join the presentation of the MoJo Kits.

Ms. Tomoko said, “We are proud to

support vibrant, Independent and resilient media leaders in Papua New Guinea.”


This event not only focuses on presentation, but it helps to build confidence and determination to work through every mainstream media, institutions and Church media personnel who have participated in the training.


“By equipping you with these kits and training, you can tell stories that matter to your people in your communities,” said Ms. Tomoko


For Church media, the kits represent a vital boost in their mission to share stories of faith, service, and social impact with great clarity and reach. It also highlights the growing collaboration between development partners in strengthening ethical and community driven storytelling.
