Kimbe Diocese celebrates Chrism Mass

Kimbe: The Chrism mass was celebrated on the April 10, 2025 with great solemnity at saint Peter and saint Paul Catholic Diocese of Kimbe Cathedral with His Lordship Bishop John Bosco Auram as the main celebrant. The diocese of Kimbe clergy, both diocesan and religious, gathered for the Chrism mass.

During the mass, the presbyterium also renewed the vows they made during their ordination, promising obedience to the bishop and faithfulness in their ministry.

In his homily, the good bishop reminded the priests of the need for the interior bond for the configuration to Christ and the need to renounce their lives. The Bishop emphasized that in ordination, their life is no longer their own because they are now at the Lord’s disposal. Therefore, they should make themselves open and available for service to the Lord and his Church.

He also urged the priests to be humble and repent from their shortcomings before the Lord and encouraged the congregation to pray for priests and a bountiful harvest of ministry.

The Chrism mass was successfully celebrated with joy.
