DBTI Boroko, Port Moresby: A moment of camaraderie and a powerful reminder of the Salesian Family spirit was shared on April 25, 2026, through a Meet and Greet program organized by a committee of the Past Pupils and Friends of Don Bosco PGS, commonly known as Corporate Bosco.
With just over one hundred attendees, past pupils from Don Bosco Gabutu, Vunabosco–Kokopo, Don Bosco Araimiri–Kerema, Don Bosco Vanimo, Don Bosco Kumgi–Simbu, and Don Bosco Technological Institute (DBTI), Boroko, with friends of Don Bosco gathered for this meaningful event.

The program began with a prayer led by the Salesian Provincial Superior, Fr. Gregorio Bicomong, SDB, followed by brief remarks from group executives and the Salesians present at DBTI’s Mama Margaret Canteen Hall. Mr. Leslie Brown, Vice President of Corporate Bosco and a past pupil of DBTI, officially welcomed everyone. In his address, he acknowledged the presence of recent graduates as well as a significant number of pioneer and senior past pupils.
In sharing a few words, Fr. Greg reminded everyone of the importance of unity, especially in the digital age. He encouraged members to foster friendship rather than division on social media, emphasizing their identity as part of a global family. “We are friends on social media; we do not attack each other because we have one father, Don Bosco. Don Bosco wants all his sons to love one another as Christ has loved us,” he said.

A presentation session followed, led by Mr. Winter Robert, President of Corporate Bosco and a past pupil of Vunabosco. He outlined the group’s objectives, mission, vision, and structure, and issued a call to action. He explained that Corporate Bosco serves as an umbrella body for various alumni groups and cells within the Salesian Family, uniting them under a shared purpose.
He further highlighted the organization as a growing network of leaders, professionals, and past pupils committed to service, solidarity, and social impact, anchored in the enduring values of Don Bosco. “Past Pupils and Friends of Don Bosco-Corporate Bosco is not just an association; it is a movement. We invite past pupils to reconnect, professionals to contribute, members to collaborate, and Bosconians to serve and lead together,” he emphasized.

As a Past Pupil Delegate, Fr. Clifford Morais, SDB, expressed his gratitude to all attendees and underscored the group’s connection to the World Confederation of Past Pupils of Don Bosco, reinforcing its global identity and mission.
The formal sessions were followed by fun and engaging activities, including live band, basketball and volleyball games, as well as group photo sessions. The gathering concluded with refreshments, fostering deeper connections among attendees.
In her closing remarks, Treasurer Ms. Delsie Maulangi expressed appreciation to everyone present and encouraged continued support for the Salesian mission. “What can we do as past pupils to support the Salesians in their mission of educating the young?” she posed, leaving participants with a reflective challenge.
She also highlighted upcoming events, noting that the celebration of Past Pupils Day on June 24 will be commemorated on June 28, 2026.
