The McGregor Police Chaplaincy was graced by the presence of the Most Reverend Bishop Otto Separy, the president of the Catholic Bishops Conference and the Bishop of Bereina diocese, where he celebrated the Eucharistic mass.

Bishop Otto was welcomed by the youth, kids and parents before heading to preside the Eucharistic Celebration.

The Eucharistic Celebration was organized by Fr Michael, the Gordons Police chaplain and was attended by both the faithful from Gordons Police Barracks and McGregor Barracks.

The mass started with a beautiful entrance procession by the Kandrian community (West New Britain) from St Charles Lwanga parish. The choir was led beautifully by the Gordons Chaplaincy youth, mothers and fathers.

Bishop Otto was the main celebrant with Fr Michael, the Gordons Police Chaplain as the con-celebrant.

In his homily, Bishop Otto encouraged all the faithful to be hopeful.

He preached, “This is the 3rd Easter Sunday a time where Jesus has risen, all our sins are forgiven, doubts are cleared, and Jesus said to his disciples to have peace. We must have peace from within our hearts and trust the Lord in the times of hopelessness, despair and doubts as he has risen to life and he is our hope.”

The Eucharistic mass concluded with Bishop Otto blessing the children, the young, the old and the sick.

His Lordship was sent out with a beautiful recessional procession chant and dance from the people of Kandrian, West New Britain community from St. Charles Lwanga in Gerehu.
