The Silver Jubilee mass was beautifully celebrated with an angelic choir by parishioners from Tokarara and had people flocking in numbers to be a part of this important event to show their appreciation of this great man of God.

The highlight of the celebration was the representation of the Nuncio’s 25 years where different age groups carried 25 candles representing his 25 years as a consecrated man of God that was chosen by the almighty to be the light of the world.

Speaking at the celebration was John Cardinal Ribat who expressed his appreciation to the Nuncio saying: “You have already celebrated your Silver Jubilee with your family in Mexico, but here in PNG we are also your family in Christ and we are happy to celebrate this important occasion with you as you are part of us".

The cardinal went on to commend the St John the Apostle Parish, Tokarara for preparing such a wonderful and inspiring celebration.

The program ended with a cake cutting, light refreshments, and a meet and greet where parishioners had the chance to meet the Nuncio and his Secretary and the Cardinal for blessings and pictures.
