World-renowned Catholic Evangelist and Preacher back in PNG for outreach.

Port Moresby: World-renowned Catholic Evangelist and preacher, dynamic Deacon Harold Burke – Sivers is back in Papua New Guinea for another evangelization outreach ministry.

Deacon Harold was welcomed to the Catholic Bishops Conference by President of the Catholic Professionals Society, Mr Paul Harricknen, Vice President of the Catholic Professionals Society, Ms Esther Igo, other CPS members, and the staff of the Catholic Bishops Conference on Friday, July 4, 2025.

“Out of all my trips this year, this was the one I was looking forward to, and it’s good to be back”, he said.

In her welcome remarks, Ms. Igo expressed gratitude to the dynamic Deacon Harold for returning to PNG for another reawakening evangelization outreach in his ministry.

“A lot of things transpired within these last three years. You first came to PNG from July 10 – 14, 2023, and you left us inspired. And we had a great moment of reflection and reawakening. Last year, we had the Papal visit, and this year, you’re back to inspire us.”

President Harricknen welcomed Deacon Harold back to the country and expressed gratitude to Deacon Harold for expanding his outreach ministry by visiting two Dioceses – Mount Hagen Archdiocese and Mendi Diocese.

“The Papal Visit brought the entire nation together, and your visit will bless and inspire us again this year as you will have time to visit and evangelize in two of our dioceses up in the Highlands region of PNG”.

Mr. Harricknen concluded his talk by inviting Deacon Harold to address the different groups in Port Moresby with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

While in the Archdiocese of Port Moresby, Deacon Harold gave a talk in St Joseph’s Parish to the Catholic Professionals, the Clergy and Religious, and the Lay faithful on Friday, July 4, 2025.

On Saturday, July 5, 2025, Deacon Harold had a full day of engaging with the young people at the Mary Help of Christians Shrine in Taurama.
