Sister of the Rosary celebrates 25 years of Religious Life and service.

Wewak: December 28, 2024 marked a significant occasion for Sr Loretta Wasi SR who celebrated her silver jubilee clocking in 25 years of Religious life and service.

Hailing from Japarakwa village of Kubalia in the East Sepik Province, Sr Loretta comes from the humble parish of Emmaus - Passam and belongs to the congregation of the Sisters of the Rosary.


The eventful day began with a thanksgiving mass by the Shepherd of Wewak Diocese, His Lordship Jozef Roszynski SVD.


In attendance to witness the Jubilee mass and activities was almost two thousand people comprising of Religious, Priests and the laity coming from different parishes like Christ the King - Wirui, Turubu Mambe, Sassoya, St Francis, Blessed Peter ToRot sub Parish, St Joseph- Yarapos, Holy Spirit - Wewak Hill, St Thomas - Yangoru and St Arnold Jenssen - Negri Yangoru.
