From the first SVD missionaries who set foot in Enga many years ago, he was the last man standing when Enga was still under the jurisdiction of the Archdiocese of Mount Hagen.  Fr. Casimir's profound impact on the community was evident as all those whose lives he touched came together to pay their last respect at a heartfelt funeral service held  on April 24, 2024.

The Bishop of the Diocese of Wabag Most Reverend Arnold Orowae presided over the Funeral Mass  con-celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Justin Ain Soongie of Wabag diocese, Most Reverend Bishop Walenty Gryk SVD from the Diocese of Goroka, the Provincial of the SVDs Rev. Fr. Jose Orathinkal SVD, including other esteemed Diocesan and SVD priests to honor the memory of Fr. Casimir. Their presence showed the deep reverence and respect that Fr. Casimir commanded throughout his many years of selfless service.

The funeral proceedings was held at the sacred grounds of Par Catholic Mission Station in the Kompiam/Ambum District of Enga Province, it served as a final tribute to the extraordinary life and legacy of Fr. Casimir. His body was laid to rest, surrounded by love and prayers by those present with fond memories of a man whose faith and dedication inspired and moulded all who knew him.

Remorse and brokenness was evident as the people mourned the loss of the very last SVD priest from the pioneer missionaries that served in Enga Province. They  also celebrated the enduring spirit of Fr. Casimir that would continue to shine brightly in their  hearts. His legacy of faith, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the community will forever be remembered and cherished by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

In honoring Fr. Casimir's memory, they pledged to carry forward his teachings and embody the same selfless spirit of service that defined his remarkable life. He will surely rest in peace for his legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched and the hearts he forever changed.
