The Chrism Mass was joyfully celebrated with the blessing of the Holy Chrism Oil, renewal of vows by the priests, and the blessing of the Holy Cross. The Cross was the sign of hope given to the youths to be taken to different parishes in the diocese.

The celebration was so meaningful symbolizing the unity and participation of the Church. The unity between the Local Bishop, priests, and the baptized faithful of the diocese.

This was an important moment were many faithful gathered to participate, witness and renew their sacramental commitment to God and their mission as well.

In his homily, bishop Paul said, “Our solemn celebration today reveals the importance of our sacramental and spiritual journey. It highlights our sacramental role and mission as clergy and laity towards sanctification and spiritual growth. That’s because without the sacraments, the Church’s life (our lives) would be diminished. Sacraments are essential for the transmission of God’s grace of love to us”.

The Mass was joyfully celebrated. After the final blessing given by the Local Ordinary, the youths took the Cross and start processing to an outstation while parents and children went back to their homes.
