We rejoice together with the Salesians Sisters as St Maria Troncatti FMA, has been canonized. She stands out for her dedicated work as a missionary nurse, peacemaker, and evangelist among the indigenous Shuar people in the Amazon region of Ecuador. She is the second saint in the Congregation of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and her life proclaims that ‘Holiness has no age limit’.

The Silver Jubilee celebrations at Don Bosco Technical Institute, Henderson, Solomon Islands acknowledges and thanks the pioneers, and shares reflections from two volunteers: Ian Baeli, (91) and Carol Labbad.

The second half of the Salesian Bulletin brings you reflections and experiences from a variety of people. They all speak of dedication, commitment, and the joy of achievement. They all inspire hope, invite us to share our reflections as we strive to live lives of holiness.

My gratitude to all who have shared their personal struggles of life offering us hope as each one of us navigates the perils of our journey of life. May you shine out as responsible and holy individuals radiating the light of Christ at all times
