Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Grace and peace to you in the name of our Risen Lord, Jesus Christ.
As we celebrate the great feast of Easter, we proclaim with joy and faith that Christ is risen! His Resurrection is the foundation of our hope and the assurance that sin, suffering, and death do not have the final word. In Him, new life is given, and through Him, the light of God’s love shines upon our people.
In the midst of the many challenges facing our societies today, rising hardship, social unrest, division, and uncertainty, the message of Easter speaks powerfully to us. The empty tomb is a sign that darkness is overcome and that hope is alive even in the most difficult circumstances.
I invite all our people to open their hearts to the Risen Christ. Let His mercy bring healing to broken relationships, His forgiveness restores peace in our communities, and His strength sustains those who are burdened or struggling, especially our brothers and sisters suffering from War in the Middle East. May His love inspire us to reach out to the poor, the sick, the vulnerable, and all who feel forgotten.
This Easter calls us to renew our commitment to peace, justice, and respect for the dignity of every human person. As Christians and as citizens, we are called to be witnesses of hope within our families, our parishes, and our wider society, working together to build a future marked by truth, compassion, and unity.
On behalf of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands, I extend my heartfelt Easter greetings to all people across Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. May the Risen Lord fill your hearts with joy, strengthen your faith, and guide your steps in the days ahead.
Christ is risen, alleluia! Alleluia!
