Diocesan Priest celebrates 9 years anniversary of priesthood

Mendi: Over 500 Catholic faithful from Mendi Diocese including the religious and clergy took part in a pilgrim to celebrate the 9th anniversary of priesthood for one of their very own son, brother and friend - Fr Allen Muguya, a Diocesan Priest on April 26, 2025.

The pilgrimage lasted for a week and started in Kumin Cathedral, Mendi and continued to Koroba Parish, Hela where Fr Allen Muguya was ordained a priest in 2016 during the closing of the Year of Mercy and was a historic experience for those who participated and for those who visited Hela Province for the first time.

Fr Allen hails from Hela Province and comes from the humble parish of St John the Apostle, Hetmari Parish.

Fr Allen is currently serving as the Parish Priest in Komagul Parish in Imbongu District in Ialibu.
