Chrism mass celebrated at Bereina Diocese

Bereina: The Catholic Diocese of Bereina celebrated Chrism mass at the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish Bereina Cathedral on April 3, 2025.

The local ordinary and President of the Catholic Bishops Conference His Lordship Bishop Otto Separy was the main celebrant. Joining him as concelebrants was Fr Vaioleti Tu'i'one SM, Pastoral Vicar Fr Bernard Boem, Fr John Paul Aihi, Fr Gerald Miria, Fr Andrew Ono, Fr Thaddeus Hoem, Fr Ambrose Kakatai SM and Fr Jeremiah Paratha.

In his homily, Bishop Otto Separy emphasized more on vocations telling young people to clearly listen to the call from God and also to pray for our priests.

The congregation watched in awe and prayed silently as they witnessed their priests renewed their vows.

The mass was well attended by the nearby the Catholic faithful from the nearby villages and the students from Sacred Heart Primary School. An angelic choir by the students from Sacred Heart Primary School added a special touch to the solemnity of the mass.
