Unite Communities to reduce HIV is the theme for World AIDS Day 2020, Catholic Church Health Services facilities joined many others in the country to commemorate the day with floats and awareness and prayer dedications.

Staff and clients of St Paul Urban Clinics and Voluntary Confidential Counselling and Testing took part in today’s commemoration of the World AIDS day at their respective catchment area in Gerehu.
Working around this year’s theme “Unit communities to reduce HIV”, the staff prepared a float and visited markets, settlements and places of gathering around Gerehu to do awareness on the day.
The staff put on short plays and gave informational messages to show their support for people living with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and to remember those who have died from Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) related illnesses.
They were joined by some of our other CCHS facilities around PNG like St Therese at Hohola who celebrated a mass and gave out gifts to our people living with HIV and Matkomnai Health Sub-Center in Kiunga who also celebrated a mass and went around the community doing awareness.
