Bereina: The dynamic young people of Bereina Diocese took lead in this year's way of the cross on April 18, 2025.

The program started on Holy Thursday with the arrival of more than 400 eager pilgrims.

In the early hours of of Good Friday, the Catholic faithful under the leadership of the youth began the way of the cross at 3:00am.

The program was organized by the Diocan Youth Coordinator Mr Linus Akaina and the executives in collaboration with the youth leaders from the different parishes.

The program concluded with everyone going away spiritually enriched following the footprints of Jesus by carrying their own cross.

"We were really inspired by the true love God had for us by sending his son Jesus Christ to die for us on the cross...The last words of Jesus were also very touching and motivated us during the pilgrimage", said Mr Emmanuel Evi, a youth leader.
