Apostolic Nuncio to Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands arrives in Madang for the Annual General Meeting

Alexishafen, Madang: The newly appointed Apostolic Nuncio to Papua New Guinea His Excellency Maurizio Bravi arrived in the Archdiocese of Madang for the Annual General Meeting of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands. Accompanying him was the Secretary of the Nuncio Monsignor Federico Boni.

His Excellency Maurizio Bravi and Monsignor Federico Boni were greeted at the Madang airport on Sunday May 4, 2025 by the General Secretary of the Catholic Bishops Conference of PNGSI Reverend Fr Lawrence Arockiaraj and the CBC support staff of the AGM.
Archbishop Bravi addresses the Bishops on Monday May 5, 2025. This is his first diplomatic visit since his appointment as the Apostolic Nuncio to PNG and SI on January 15, 2025. He was appointed by the late Pope Francis.
He was born on July 20, 1962 in Capriate San Gervasio, Diocese of Bergamo, Italy and was later ordained a priest on June 21, 1986.
Meanwhile, all Bishops went out to different parishes to celebrate mass and be with the people.
Similar sentiments of joy was shared by the Catholic Faithful that attended mass presided by the Bishops saying that it is a blessing and privilege to have the Shepherds of the Catholic Church in Papua New Guinea say mass in their parishes and mingle with the people.
